Baristas are our most important team members. They offer a unique, coffee forward experience for every customer and serve as a coffee expert, with exceptional knowledge of menu items and preparation methods (roasting process, flavor, etc.). Qualifications:

Barista experience is great, but not needed (you will be trained in the PJ’s way of serving the best cup of coffee in town!) However, you must have a passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and grow along with:

§ An amazing work ethic, outgoing and engaging personality, and a genuine smile!

§ Interpersonal and customer service skills to spread the love!

§ The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment because we will be busy!

§ Learning to communicate via email, phone, text, and company app (because we are great at communicating – said no one ever!)

§ Being eager to learn quickly – stuff is always changing!

§ Responding positively to pressure, keeping composure, and staying calm because you can!

Compensation:

§ Starting salary: State minimum for tipped employees plus tips (which means at least $15.00 an hour + tips)

*Tipped Employees – Understanding Maryland’s Tip Credits

§ Incremental, merit-based raises
